Ministry

Our congregation has enjoyed several minister over the past 50 years of our fellowship, including recent interim ministers, Rev. Larry Smith and Rev. Addae Ama Kraba MDiv.  Currently our fellowship is without a contracted minister, but continues to engage with many inspirational and spiritual guest ministers including Connie Simon, Sam Gugino, and more, for our Sunday services. We have a strong Board of Trustees that helps guide our fellowship, along with multiple teams that keep all aspects of fellowship strong and supported.

Connie Simon, a native of southern Chester County, has been an attorney for 30 years.   After years of moving around the country for her career, she left the active practice of law and returned to the Delaware Valley to care for two disabled family members.

Since 2009, Connie has been a member of First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia where she served on a number of teams, including the Membership Ministry, Multicultural Ministry and Worship Arts teams.  She served many times as Worship Associate, Worship Leader and frequent substitute for the church’s Music Director.  She is also a past Congregational Moderator, member of the Bylaws and Triennial Review committees and served two terms on First Unitarian’s Ministry Leadership Team.

She is very enthusiastic about helping out with our Sunday Services. She will be an integral part of the Worship Team planning out our themes and service elements.
