Member Reflection

Welcome one, welcome all to the UU Fellowship's personal journey of spiritual discovery. Well, at least that's my take on being exposed to the UU experience.

Colleen and I have been coming to the UUFLB since 1990. We signed the membership book in 1994, and had both our children - Jamie & Rebecca Rae -christened here in 1991. Both our children remain active, especially Becca, in UU gatherings, leadership councils, and UU young adult conferences. They are both educated and participate in UU causes and UU philosophy; 1- every person has worth and 2 - every religion has merit.

Colleen & I have been actively participating in UU leadership and worthwhile causes for many years. For me, UUFLB has helped me grow in this very personal journney. Today I consider my UU friends, my best friends, #1 in my book. Not only are they my fellowship friends, they are my poker & golf buddies, who are always up for a worthy endeavor and back up what they believe with action.

Originally Colleen and I came for the religious education program and the diversity that UUFLB offered. We've watched ours and others' children grow up to be upstanding adults with values and a moral compass which are a necessity in this world of the 21st century.

We stay because we Love youse guys and gals, as we try to make a difference in our little corner of the world.

In closing, I take great pride in declaring that I am an active member of the Unitarian-Universalist movement.
